About us
A family‑run craft bar. Not a tourist bar. In the heart of Prague 1.
Separé is a family craft bar at Mikulandská 133/3, Prague 1. Born from a simple idea: we wanted to create a spot in the heart of Prague where we'd actually want to hang out ourselves. No stiff service, no tourist traps, no corporate vibe. An honest family business where you feel like a person, not a patron. We're obsessed with real craft and bold local flavours. We leave the average to others. If it's on our menu, we'd stake our reputation on it.

separé space
We're not a sterile boardroom. We have a private space with a projector. Relaxed atmosphere, good food, good drinks. Birthdays, small company gatherings, larger parties, or just a table for your crew. We tailor everything. We handle the food. On our own for smaller events, with trusted partners for bigger ones.

The Story
The 1891 blueprint. A touch of bureaucracy. And 130 years of patience.
Coincidences don't exist. When we opened Separé in Mikulandská, we had no idea this building had been destined for good drinking since 1891. It took a trip to the old archives to reveal just how close it once came.
In October 1891, the building owner, Mr. J. F. Tomaschek, filed a permit with the Prague magistrate. He wanted to pour wine. But he ran straight into the brick wall of Austro‑Hungarian bureaucracy.
On a yellowed document from 1895, a brief, handwritten full stop closes the entire project: “The wine bar was never established.”
It took long decades before a proper toast was finally raised in this building. Today we pour craft beers from small breweries, open wild pet‑nats, and fill our tables with board games. Mr. Tomaschek would have loved this little place.
We finished what started in 1891. Just with slightly better drinks. And without the imperial stamp.
